The saga of my old supplier changing the spec of the Telecaster pickguards and my journey to sourcing new Fender compatible pickguards is fairly lengthy. You would not believe how long such a seemingly simple task can take! Suffice to say that it took quite a while to get to this point. My new guards […]

Listed on the site today I now have vintage Kluson style split post tuners made by Ping Well. Ping Well makes hardware for many major guitar manufacturers – these tuners are the same as fitted to Fender’s non-US lines. I wanted something in between the Wilkinson and Gotoh price brackets. These are a step above […]
One of my favourite in-house projects has been the ageing of Fender Telecaster bridge plates. I found a method that gave repeatable results that (imo) looked like natural wear. However in 2019 Fender changed the plating process used on the Pat Pend bridge plates. Instead of the grey matte surface below the pickup hole, it […]
It’s been a while but I have a few available. I’ tried every avenue for a cheaper alternative as prices have risen quite a lot the last 18 months (exchange rate + price hikes). My Korean supplier was going to start offering them but the cost of the mold* was excessive ($8k) so they scrapped […]
Apologies for the lack of content recently – there has not been much to report except supplier delays and freight/customs issues. However that is changing… A batch of Fender Pat Pend Telecaster plates has just arrived. I’ll be ageing some up over the next few days so feel free to get those orders in too! […]
A couple of Telecaster bodies have been added to Clearance Corner. First up a two piece alder Hosco body. This has some minor tool marks at the jack hole that have been filled. Second, a one piece mahogany body. This one has taken a knock at the rear edge of the upper bout. It has […]
Just arrived, a batch of B5 Bigsby vibratos. The B5 is suitable for flat top solid body guitars and used on Telecasters, Gibson SG/Jrs etc They are lighter than I was expecting – lighter than a standard tremolo for sure. Pair with a Telecaster Bigsby-ready bridge and you’re good to go!
For those of you not following our Facebook Page (and you should like/follow it as sometimes I post there and not here) here’s what has been added to the store recently. A bunch of new relic/aged products to complement the existing lines. First up Hosco vintage Telecaster bridges. An alternative to the Fender version these […]
A few new products in the Aged Hardware section today – Telecaster threaded steel and vintage brass saddles. All screws are checked before dispatch to ensure they work correctly – we want the look of old parts, not the problems! Also a couple of Fender “F” neckplates, just because.
The eagle eyed will have noticed this new section pop up yesterday – Bass Parts. It may or may not be permanent…presently the contents are parts I ordered to build my own Dusty Hill inspired Peeler-style bass. I’ve had to finally admit that it is unlikely I’ll get round to putting it together, so I’m […]
