These certainly look interesting – there is a standard 2 pickup model at 299euro, an uber-cool Bigsby model at 349euro and a bass model at 359euro.
All have Fender Fidelitron pickups and come in black only.
We’ll see how that price translates when they hit the UK, but going by today’s awful exchange rate, £258 for the standard model looks like a steal!
Looking at the pictures I see the bridge is different from the Mexican model, so it is going to be interesting to see what the spec/dimensions are for modding.
I expect the body wood will not be alder, which is reserved for the VM Thinline. Most likely agathis or basswood which the rest of the VM series sport. UPDATE: Confirmed as basswood
I hear good things about the quality of the Indian made VM series, so hopefully these will be good solid guitars. UPDATE: The VM line is now made in Indonesia – most likely at the Cort factory.
