Heavier Parcel Service to Europe With Royal Mail

Royal Mail logo

Another update for European customers.

Bodies can now ship for less!

I have added a heavier option for Royal Mail shipping – up to 5kg.
Currently this is only available to the following countries.

Belgium
Bulgaria
Cyprus
Czech
Denmark
Estonia
Latvia
Lithuania
Malta
Netherlands
Portugal
Slovenia
Sweden
Switzerland

(I am in the process of getting Royal Mail to add other services which will allow me to add more countries to the list. They are still massively backlogged due to the US tariff implementation and they appear to be prioritising queries for that over everything else. As soon as I know more I shall let you know.)

While a body and neck would be under the 5kg weight limit, the size of the box required is over Royal Mail limits. I shall investigate other packaging options but it isn’t always viable to keep multiple box sizes on hand.

I’ve also added a currency selector to the site. Prices will display in the selected currency – currently GBP, Euro and USD – but payment will always be taken in GBP.
(Due to a quirk of my shopping cart, the currency selector only shows in desktop mode.)
Remember that prices will always be shown inclusive of VAT which will be removed if the order exceeds the 150euro threshold for EU orders during checkout, or removed completely during checkout for non-EU orders.

I’m hoping these additions will make it easier and cheaper for European customers to order now.
For EU customers, it’s worth checking when placing an order if it might be better to split into 2 separate orders so payment including VAT can be taken.
That way there is no delay, but also no admin fee to be charged. Some countries levy substantial handling fees to imports – DHL charges vary greatly by country. Shipping 2 smaller, lighter parcels via Royal Mail may end up being cheaper overall when handling charge and increased DHL shipping cost is taken into account.

It’s all just gone live yesterday afternoon so please let me know if you find any issues.
