A little delayed, but our hardware shipment is now here and all products posted in the store.
Out of stock items are now in stock – Gretsch G Arrow knobs, nickel Wilkinson Deluxe Machine Heads, Wilkinson Vintage Telecaster bridges – and we have a few new items.
(Sorry, not necks and bodies yet, they are still on the way.)
We’ve added machine head reducer bushes in nickel and metal toggle tips so you can get the accurate La Cabronita look. Not metal-look plastic, actual metal. It’s the small details that make me happy.
The big new additions are Wilkinson Tremolos. We’ve wanted to add trems for a while, but the sheer range of choice was a little overwhelming. We spoke to some customers, read some reviews and compared some trems and decided that the WVC and WVPC represent very good value for money for excellent quality tremolos. We’ve also added the WVC saddles to stock, so fans of the vintage bent steel saddles can retrofit their 54mm spaced trems/bridges.
The final new product is an Axecaster special – Heavy Knurled Telecaster Knobs.
We’d been looking at having these made for quite a while, and had a few samples produced with limited success – the knurling was giving the factory problems. When Allparts doubled the price of their heavy knurl knobs (they now cost dealers more to buy than we used to sell them for!) we went back to our supplier and they managed to find a factory who could produce the knobs to our specs. The final knobs are steel with a very nice heavy knurl giving good grip without churning up your fingertips.
Available in chrome and nickel, we’ve been able to keep these very reasonably priced at £4.50 each. Check it out – a set on Esquire #1!
That’s all for now – with luck we will have an update on the Mighty Mite shipment very soon…it’s been a long time coming.
