Looking for a little feedback on this – I am toying with the idea of having a run of necks made to my specs. Something not available off the shelf from Allparts.
Being a Tele guy, and wanting to snag a few of these for myself, my thought is as follows – Telecaster neck, TMO-V back profile (chunky soft V .91″ at first fret, .98″ at twelfth fret) with 9.5″ radius fingerboard, 42mm nut width and 21 medium jumbo frets (1.2mm x 2.4mm) For me this would be the perfect spec.
I would need to order 30+ necks, so I’m curious how many people would consider ordering one. I think the price would be around £95 for an unfinished neck without nut.
As I say, I’m just toying with the idea and couldn’t think of going ahead unless I had a commitment for almost all of the run beforehand – unfortunately there’s no credit terms with my supplier!
