“Planned strike action in parts of Royal Mail
The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has notified us they plan to call on their members who collect, sort, distribute and deliver parcels and letters to take strike action over the following six dates in November:
- Wednesday 2 November, Thursday 3 November and Friday 4 November 2022
- Tuesday 8 November, Wednesday 9 November and Thursday 10 November 2022
The planned strikes involve CWU members in different areas of our organisation, with each area taking strike action on different days. This means most services will only be affected on one or two of the days during the planned days of strike action that week.”
What does that mean for orders placed during these times? Days leading up to strike days Special Delivery will still be offered. On days that collections are not going to take place I will have DHL as an option for shipping for mainland UK. Unfortunately not cheap, however it allows for same day collection for orders received up to 2pm.
I will update this and the main strike post as and when dates are confirmed to affect collection/delivery services.
