As promised yesterday here are a couple more pics of the aged Fender bridges. I am toying with the idea of adding levels of ageing which would be made to order. So from the top we have light, medium-heavy and heavy ageing. Currently all the plates vary along this line. For a specified level of ageing they would need to be made to order, so a turnaround time of around 4 days would have to be in effect and a slight increase in price as individual ageing is more labour intensive and time consuming than doing small batches.
What do you think? Worth the extra wait and price?
I’m also toying with adding full vintage aged Tele kits, but that would have to wait until I get my new vintage spec control plates (1.6mm thick and non-countersunk switch screw holes) and source nickel plated slot head screws (my current stock are raw so ageing would be nigh impossibe).
Next up I’ve added another line to my Allparts necks, the SMO. It is a modern/vintage hybrid with 12″ radius board, jumbo frets, 1 5/8″ nut and heel adjust truss rod. Just a few to gauge interest, they are £119.99.
More to come later today.
