Royal Mail Strike – effect on postage dispatch times

Easter 2013 posting datesNext Monday (November 4th) Royal Mail are staging a one day strike.

While Post Offices will open for business (Post Office and Royal Mail are now separate companies) there will be no collections from Post Boxes or Post Offices on that day. To that end we are going to amend our dispatch times as follows:

All non-courier orders received by 2.30pm Friday 1st November will dispatch the same day.

Orders received after 2.30pm Friday 1st until Tuesday 5th November will dispatch Tuesday 5th November.

With this system we hope to minimise the delay customers  experience receiving their orders- while Royal Mail claim that they deal with the backlog in order, past experience suggests otherwise. We also believe that there is less chance of loss or damage to customer’s orders the less time they spend sitting around in warehouses/sorting offices.

Order early to avoid delays!
