Just a few new lines on this order.
First up we now have Marvel Strap Locks in Gold. Only £1 more than the chrome – bargain!
On to the Telecaster portion now (you knew there would be one!)
I have based these threaded steel saddles on the early 60s versions used by Fender. With period correct 6-32 “inch” size hardware they will fit all Fender vintage bridge plates and any vintage plate designed for inch (not metric) hardware. Some “import” plates (such as those based on the Wilkinson spec) will require the intonation screw holes to be enlarged slightly.
If you prefer the early 50s look then these brass barrel saddles are for you. Also sporting 6-32 hardware they have the underside ground down to allow for a very low action without having to shim the neck, also like the Fender originals.
(Apologies for the less than stellar photo – I shall endeavour to get some better ones taken).
(EDIT>>I forgot to mention that I am trying to source nickel plated Fillister head intonation screws for the vintage brass saddles. I have a line on raw stainless but I figure anyone wanting period correct will probably want the screws to be able to age, which stainless won’t.)
If you do have a lower than “stock” action you probably find the height adjustment screws dig into your hand when muting. Never fear, we have shorter 8mm long screws available for these saddles. Available separately in packs of 8 (they also fit some bass saddles) you can order a set of 6 as an add-on when buying the saddles.
That’s all for now. Look at that – just about 2.30pm – I made an update on time!
