How To Tell Push-Push Pot Value

Those of you who have ordered push/push pots from me will be familiar with my packing method and marking each pot with value and taper (A250k etc)

What happens if you have ordered a few pots with various value/taper and have unwrapped them without making note of which is which? Relax, you don’t need a multimeter (but you may need a magnifying glass!).

Each pot is in fact marked with its taper and value on the fibreboard at the top, on the rounded section. It is almost entirely obscured by the metal but you can work out what it says from the top of the characters. In the picture below you can see B250k on the left and B500k on the right. The right hand pot is about as obscured as they come, but you can see that it is still possible to discern the characters.

I have been asking my supplier to see if the pots can be marked in a more visible location since my second order, however it doesn’t seem to be a priority!
