Coming Soon – Relic Hardware

A little taster of some planned new lines – relic hardware. Starting with Fender spec control plates and neckplates in both chrome and nickel. No chemicals used on these – I am going for a gently aged look rather than out and out relic. That could of course change depending on customer feedback.

The screws will also be lightly aged and may show a little rust – I will be doing tests this week to get the look where I want it. I will also be doing tests on the rest of the hardware: knobs, jack cups, end pins etc. Not tuners though as I have a little surprise on that front in about a month.

It is extremely difficult getting photos that really show the detail but the close-up shots below are pretty representative. No swirls or obvious sandpaper/abrasive marks and very little (if any) rub through of the plating.

I am aiming to get all the tests finished this week and the first products on the site at the beginning of next week.

Feedback welcome!

    1. Hi Allan,

I’m running a bit behind but should hopefully have the neck and control plates on the site by the weekend (just have to get the screws ready). Then knobs and jackplates to follow!
