{"id":2123,"date":"2014-08-04T14:13:21","date_gmt":"2014-08-04T13:13:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/axecaster.co.uk\/blog\/?p=2123"},"modified":"2014-08-04T14:13:21","modified_gmt":"2014-08-04T13:13:21","slug":"paypal-website-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/axecaster.co.uk\/blog\/paypal-website-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"Paypal website changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Paypal has been updating its site (for mobile optimisation by the paint-by-numbers look of it) for the last few weeks and this can cause some confusion.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously if you have a Paypal account and are planning to use that to fund a purchase from <a title=\"Axecaster\" href=\"http:\/\/www.axecaster.co.uk\/index.php?\" target=\"_blank\">our site<\/a> it is still as straight forward as logging in to your Paypal account when the shopping cart redirects you to Paypal. However if you wish to use a credit or debit card the old screen with the helpful &#8220;Pay by Card&#8221; on the right of the screen under the login link has now been replaced. Now you are presented with a cookie-cutter login screen, with no specific directions for card payments &#8211; you have to click on the grey &#8220;Check Out as a Guest&#8221; button under the login button which will then take you to the old screen we are all familiar with.<\/p>\n<p>I have noticed in the last couple of days that sometimes the grey button actually says &#8220;Create an Account&#8221;, so they must still be tinkering with the site. If that happens to you, try reloading the page.<\/p>\n<p>These observations are from using a PC with Firefox &#8211; I don&#8217;t know what (if any) differences there are using other browsers or mobile devices.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/axecaster.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Paypal-checkout.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2124\" title=\"Paypal-checkout\" src=\"https:\/\/axecaster.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Paypal-checkout.jpg\" alt=\"New Paypal login screen\" width=\"606\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/axecaster.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Paypal-checkout.jpg 908w, https:\/\/axecaster.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Paypal-checkout-300x237.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 606px) 100vw, 606px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paypal has been updating its site (for mobile optimisation by the paint-by-numbers look of it) for the last few weeks and this can cause some confusion.
