Split shaft linear taper pots. Also a couple of different length shafts &#8211; the <a title=\"Short split shaft CTS potentiometer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.axecaster.co.uk\/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=11&amp;products_id=280\" target=\"_blank\">short shaft<\/a> are for scratchplate\/control plate mounting and the <a title=\"Medium split shaft CTS potentiometer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.axecaster.co.uk\/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=11&amp;products_id=282\" target=\"_blank\">medium shaft<\/a> will work for many body mount situations as well as plate mounting. Audio taper are also available in both options.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.axecaster.co.uk\/images\/CTS-med-split.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"CTS medium split shaft linear potentiometer\" src=\"http:\/\/www.axecaster.co.uk\/images\/CTS-med-split.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"262\" \/><\/a>These arrived with the shipment last week but I had to confirm the tapers with the supplier before listing. Hosco have had the linear taper pots stamped with &#8220;BXXXk&#8221; and <a title=\"Axecaster - potentiometer information.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.axecaster.co.uk\/index.php?main_page=page&amp;id=1\" target=\"_blank\">as you know<\/a> CTS code for linear taper is &#8220;D&#8221;. I asked Hosco to confirm the taper and asked why they were marked &#8220;B&#8221; and they told me that the taper is &#8220;D&#8221; but they have always had their CTS linear pots marked B. I assume they wanted consistency with the alpha pots they supply.<\/p>\n<p>Just to be sure I nipped out to Toolstation and picked up a <a title=\"Pocket digital multimeter\" href=\"http:\/\/www.toolstation.com\/shop\/Electrical\/Electrical%20Test%20Equipment\/Digital%20Multi%20Meter\/d190\/sd3348\/p11867\" target=\"_blank\">pocket multimeter<\/a> and lo and behold, they are linear taper. (I also took the time to test all the other pots and confirmed that the <a title=\"CTS True Vintage Taper pots\" href=\"https:\/\/axecaster.co.uk\/blog\/?p=1609\" target=\"_blank\">TVT<\/a> pots are 20% as I have been advertising and not 30% as they state.)<\/p>\n<p>So now you know &#8211; CTS will stamp whatever a customer wants on the back of pots, even if it causes confusion!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The eagle-eyed may have noticed that last night a couple of new CTS lines were added to the store.
